[00:00:14] November is National Family Caregivers Month: a time to recognize, reflect, and honor the work and value of caring for one another. Having walked this path in my own life as a family caregiver, I joined so many of you who have experienced the beauty, heartache, exhaustion, and growth that can happen when we struggle with and embrace one of the most difficult truths of what it means to be human.

[00:00:47] Many of us encountered the realities of caregiving unequipped to navigate the emotional, spiritual, and practical tolls of caregiving. So, this month we wanted to give a special focus on The Caregiving Soul Podcast to the idea of empowerment. We’re more empowered when we’re equipped to name, define, and communicate both to ourselves and others how it feels, what we need, and what the hard questions are that we need to address, both internally and as a society.

[00:01:30] Recognizing National Family Caregivers month is one way we can be collectively intentional about receiving new perspective solutions and support that bring informed guidance and more meaningful connections.

[00:01:48] In addition to our full-length episodes, we’ll be releasing minisodes with strategies and resources that may be helpful in your caregiving journey. Our guests this month will share their stories giving insight into what empowerment looks like in their own caregiving experiences.
